2. Crisis/Incident Management

 

Aim:

To train business continuity practitioners or members of incident management teams to rapidly intervene in order to stabilise disruptions.

Approach:

This is a highly practical and interactive incident (crisis) management course.  The final rehearsal will be recorded for reference.  A set of incident management documents will be issued as part of the course.

  • The differences in scale, time and co-ordination between incident management, continuity and recovery.
  • Selection and training of teams, deputies and venues.
  • Command control and communications.
  • Generic crisis issues HR, PR, FM, IT, Ops and co-ordination with others.
  • Documentation and administration.
  • Technology, communication and software tools and techniques
  • Before, during and after a crisis exercise
  • Case studies and debriefing
