'One Days' Training Week
4. Rehearsal Facilitator
Aim:
To train facilitators who can plan, prepare, facilitate, de-brief and audit business continuity and incident management rehearsals.
Approach:
We use a standard approach to the preparation, conduct, debriefing and follow up reports which means standardised documents such as a main events list, scripts, invitations, preambles, KPIs, report formats, briefing, rules of engagement. Each of these can be customised to a scenario, a level of complexity, a hierarchy level, a set of objectives or culture.
During the morning we will create all the materials required such as TV news videos, websites, newspapers, mock up photos, telephone calls, face to face meetings and demonstrate tools and techniques.
During the afternoon we will use the materials to conduct a rehearsal and use real and virtual teams. In this hands on phase students will actually introduce, facilitate and de-brief to get the best out of the rehearsal and the people being rehearsed. The final session will be report production to present the success of the exercise with recommendations, observations and plan revisions.
